What is RCT?

Resource Control Table (RCT) is controller that directs the CICS DB2 interface. Using DSNCRCT, RCT can produce a micro table.

In the context of IBM Db2, RCT typically stands for “Resource Control Table.” The Resource Control Table (RCT) is a system catalog table that is used by Db2 to manage and control various system resources. It contains information about resource limits, such as the maximum number of connections or the maximum amount of memory that can be used by Db2.

The RCT helps in setting limits on system resources to prevent any single application or user from consuming excessive resources and affecting the overall performance of the Db2 system. It plays a role in managing and optimizing the allocation of resources to different applications and users.

Please note that the specific details and functionalities associated with RCT may vary depending on the version of Db2 you are using. Always refer to the official documentation for the version of Db2 you are working with for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
